How does Smart Charging work at OB7?
The user connects their vehicle or wallbox in your white-label app and enters charging location plus departure time—say they must leave again at eight with enough range. OB7 schedules the charging session automatically and ties it into accounts, tariffs, billing and messaging.
How does vehicle linking work?
Through our OEM integrations, 80+ brands are covered (BMW, VW, Mercedes, Tesla, Polestar, Hyundai, Kia, Renault, Ford and more). You don't build vehicle telematics yourself – OB7 wires sign-in, data and commands into your app.
Does the driver have to make complicated settings?
No. Three values—where they're charging, departure time and minimum charge—cover daily use. Charging windows, prices and status are processed in the background and shown clearly in the app.
Can the user charge immediately?
Yes. Charging right away is always available – when it is urgent, the driver decides with one click.
Does Smart Charging fit dynamic tariffs?
Yes, especially then. Dynamic tariffs and day-ahead prices make cheaper hours visible and usable without forcing users to study price curves.
Is this the same as wallbox load management?
No. Wallbox load management (DLM, HEMS) regulates connection power via Modbus or EEBus at one box. Smart Charging talks straight to the car – even without a smart wallbox.
