How does chargepoint reservation work?

Your customers select a charging point and time slot in the app. The charging point is exclusively reserved for this period. Upon arrival, charging starts automatically after authentication.

How far in advance can reservations be made?

You configure the reservation window flexibly – from 15 minutes to several days in advance. Typical settings are 30 minutes to 24 hours.

What happens in case of no-show?

You define no-show rules: After a grace period (e.g., 15 minutes), the reservation is automatically released. Optionally, you can configure no-show fees.

Can reservations be cancelled?

Yes, customers can cancel reservations free of charge up to a point you define. After that, cancellation fees may apply – you decide.

Does reservation cost extra?

You decide: Reservations can be free, have a flat fee, or be charged by time. The fee is transparently displayed in the app.

Does reservation work for fast chargers too?

Yes, reservation works for all charger types – AC and DC. Especially for high-utilization fast chargers, reservation is particularly valuable.
