Whoever books gets the post
Reservations give drivers certainty before they set off. OB7 shows only suitable chargers, guides customers through booking and keeps the rules for cancellation, waiting time and fees clear. A scarce charger becomes a plannable offer for guests, employees and fleets.

Reservation, charging and possible fees remain easy to understand.
From slot to session
Four simple steps between app and charger. Drivers see what is free, book a time window and start on site with their usual activation method.
The map shows suitable chargers and free time windows at the chosen site.
The customer receives a clear confirmation and sees the booking directly in the app.
The slot is yours for the booked window; on site, activation works as usual.
If the customer does not arrive, the charger can become available again after a grace time.
Use cases
Reservation means something different at each site. A public fast charger on a route needs different rules than a depot, a hotel car park or an employee area. OB7 maps these differences in one system.
For e-trucks especially, plannable charging becomes part of daily operations: route, charging window, parking space and activation have to fit together – public, private or semi-public.
Public e-truck
Carriers book chargers along the route so waiting time does not break the schedule.
Depot & hub
Depot operators release free windows for partners without disturbing their own operation.
Hotel & service
Staff book a charger for guests, VIPs or service cases directly in the operator backend.
Employee & fleet
Shifts, pool vehicles and company cars get plannable charging windows instead of competing internally for chargers.
Operator rules
Not a rigid default. You set per site what a booking costs, how long grace runs, when fees apply, and whether customers may extend an active reservation.
Operators book on behalf of others – for hotel guests, partner fleets or support cases.
Public, private or semi-public: same foundation, different settings per site.
Example configuration
Optionally free, fixed or varied by site and customer group.
Time after booking start before the charger can become available again.
Fee for late cancellation or no-show, if the operator wants to use one.
Customers can extend as long as the next slot is not blocked.
What drivers, sites and operators need to know about reservations.
Only chargers that are reliably suitable for reservations at the specific site appear as bookable. Customers do not see options that would not work on site.
After a configurable grace time, for example 10 minutes, the charger can be released again. You can optionally add a fair fee for unused bookings.
Both are configurable. You decide by site or customer group whether reservations are free, paid or part of an allowance.
The reservation is assigned to the intended customer. On site, the charging session can then be started with the planned app, card or RFID activation.
Yes. Hotels can embed chargepoint reservations into their booking flow. Guests then receive the right charging option for their booked time window.
