Chargepoint reservation

Reservation, not roulette.

Hotel guests, employee shifts, field service, park-and-charge: many charging sessions need certainty. OB7 turns reservations into a clear offer in your app – with fixed time windows, understandable rules and fair billing.

Whoever books gets the post

Reliable charger beats cheap charger.

Reservations give drivers certainty before they set off. OB7 shows only suitable chargers, guides customers through booking and keeps the rules for cancellation, waiting time and fees clear. A scarce charger becomes a plannable offer for guests, employees and fleets.

Fair billing

Reservation, charging and possible fees remain easy to understand.

From slot to session

Book, confirm, secure, drive up.

Four simple steps between app and charger. Drivers see what is free, book a time window and start on site with their usual activation method.

01

Pick a slot

The map shows suitable chargers and free time windows at the chosen site.

02

Reserve

The customer receives a clear confirmation and sees the booking directly in the app.

03

Secure

The slot is yours for the booked window; on site, activation works as usual.

04

Arrive + charge

If the customer does not arrive, the charger can become available again after a grace time.

Use cases

One reservation system, several operating models.

Reservation means something different at each site. A public fast charger on a route needs different rules than a depot, a hotel car park or an employee area. OB7 maps these differences in one system.

For e-trucks especially, plannable charging becomes part of daily operations: route, charging window, parking space and activation have to fit together – public, private or semi-public.

Public e-truck

Plan the route, secure the charging window

Carriers book chargers along the route so waiting time does not break the schedule.

Price, slot length and cancellation rule by site

Depot & hub

Open private capacity intentionally

Depot operators release free windows for partners without disturbing their own operation.

Access by partner, vehicle class or time window

Hotel & service

Reserve on behalf of the customer

Staff book a charger for guests, VIPs or service cases directly in the operator backend.

Concierge booking with clear assignment

Employee & fleet

Rules for recurring groups

Shifts, pool vehicles and company cars get plannable charging windows instead of competing internally for chargers.

Operator rules

Configure reservations per site: price, grace time, fees, extensions.

Not a rigid default. You set per site what a booking costs, how long grace runs, when fees apply, and whether customers may extend an active reservation.

Backend

Concierge service

Operators book on behalf of others – for hotel guests, partner fleets or support cases.

flexible

Site logic

Public, private or semi-public: same foundation, different settings per site.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

What drivers, sites and operators need to know about reservations.

Which stations support reservations?

Only chargers that are reliably suitable for reservations at the specific site appear as bookable. Customers do not see options that would not work on site.

What happens on no-show?

After a configurable grace time, for example 10 minutes, the charger can be released again. You can optionally add a fair fee for unused bookings.

Free or paid reservations?

Both are configurable. You decide by site or customer group whether reservations are free, paid or part of an allowance.

What happens if someone else unplugs?

The reservation is assigned to the intended customer. On site, the charging session can then be started with the planned app, card or RFID activation.

Can hotels add reservations to their booking flow?

Yes. Hotels can embed chargepoint reservations into their booking flow. Guests then receive the right charging option for their booked time window.
